Here are some answers to frequently-asked questions regarding licensing.

Q. What is licensing?
A. Licensing is the contracted ability to use the corporate identity of another company in the selling of manufactured product, in exchange for a percentage of the selling price of that product. Licenses are carried by manufacturers, not retailers.

Q. Why should my company license with the Red Hat Society?
A. The Red Hat Society has taken retail by storm. Our members are looking to find official product in stores near them. It is an opportunity for your company to serve the growing product needs of Red Hat Society members while supporting the growth and viability of this women's movement.

Q. Who is qualified to license with the Red Hat Society?
A. Companies that manufacture products which would be of interest to Red Hat Society members, and who have established channels of distribution, are welcome to apply to become licensees.

Q. Where does the money from Red Hat Society licensing go?
A. The money from Red Hat Society product licensing goes to the Imperium Distribution, Inc. The Red Hat Society Store is the official store of the Red Hat Society and is currently responsible for covering a large portion of the Red Hat Society's operational costs.
